99 Acura CL 3.0 Grinding Trans No Reverse
 

Hello, I am a new member here. I am trying to get some insight on my acura cl. My girlfriend was driving my 99 acura cl and it died while she was driving, she went to put the car into neutral to restart the car but she put it into reverse for a split second and now the car has no reverse and it's making a grinding noise when I put the car in reverse. Does the trans need pulled, is it fixable?

Moved your thread to the appropriate forum. But tranny needs to be pulled. Probably go with a rebuilt tranny hopefully with a warranty if you plan to keep the car.

Yeah I plan to keep the car. Its loaded with all options, I love this car. I've done multiple engine and trans swaps so I'm sure I can handle it. Is the trans compatible with the 3.0 by accords? My car is a 99, I found a 97 cl 3.0 with 160k for 500 bucks. Is the 97 the same trans?
