98 Acura CL 2.3 v-tec. Motor and tranny are 99 i believe. F23a1. Auto. Had the car for about a year. No issues, no hard shifts or slips in the trans. Occasionally a hard shift out of park. Drove it 2 hours without a problem. Pulled in the driveway with a 3 or 4" drop off. Cv shaft snapped (it never made any noise prior). Put it in reverse and I hear gears grinding; put it in drive,neutral, park and the same grinding. Replaced cv shafts and it grinds as soon as its put in any gear including neutral. I have a hard time believing the transmission crapped out without any warning. Can the transmissions codes be read from obd? Any ideas where to start?
