97 Acura 3.0 oil leak, but not from pan !!

Hi I've recently installed a new oil pan on my 97 Acura 3.0 CL as well as all new screws, but I still have an oil leak coming from top ( back of the pan) a friend told me that is probably coming from the crank ( possible gasket, seal, etc) I hope it's just that and not something more serious. Can anyone give me more information on this, possible scenarios, etc. I'd like to start with the most basic repairs and troubleshooting first, and take it from there. I'm extremely handy and if it sounds easy enough I will attempt it myself, and advice as well as pictures, etc would be very helpful, but this will be my first time doing something like this.
Thank you all, and have a great and safe day.

Thanks for getting back to me man, ok I'll start troubleshooting with the things you've mentioned, this will be my first time doing this any recommendations of which I should start with first ? And to get some sort of and idea where they're located should I look for diagrams on j-series engines for that year ? It's off the road right now so I would have to go through alot just to get it to a shop just to look at it, so before I go through all of that I'm going to try everything myself along with a couple of friends that are familiar with this type of situation, I hope 🤔 thanks for the info !!

That's what I was thinking too,I'll check that out first and replace it either way, is it possible that you can give me some advice or pics, because I'm not entirely sure on its location, tried searching for it, but it's not entirely clear for a newbie like me. Thanks for the info !!
