1999 CL 3.0 stalling

My 99 CL recently started to stall. It stalled twice when stopping at red lights. It would startup immediately after putting the car in park. It also stalled while driving between 40 to 60 mph, the RPMs suddenly went to zero. I was able to coast to somewhere safe and was able to restart the car and make it home. It never happen before in the 18 years I've own the car. The only thing I did was an hour earlier before the car started misbehaving was that I filled up with gas to the brim almost. Any ideas, what could be causing this? After googling problem, I found people's posting about the bad crank position sensor or bad purge control valve. Could it be a bad crank position sensor? It does not a problem starting after stalling.

It could also be the fuel pump that is going bad. There's a few videos online to test if yours is going bad

Thanks for the reply. The problem turn out to be the ignition switch. The local Acura dealership replaced it for free as part of a recall.

Have a 1999 Acura 2.3CL with the stalling problem as well. My mechanic found it to be the ignition as well. I was not as luck to go to the dealer and get it covered under a recall.
