and.. why do 2.2 and 2.3 CLers have to buy 2.25 piping..? cuz when i asked, the responds were 2.5.. and i have 2.5..
Yea i taped it up for the time being cause of the gap that at each corner. Then i realized it looks like crap and took it off. I'll live with the gap for now until I can think of something better.

As for the piping, I always thought it was 2.25 for the 4 cyl and 2.5 for the v6's. 2.5" is overkill for the 4 cyl, they dont need such large piping, they'll lose backpressure

I'm still of the opinion that 2.25 is too much for a 4cl, unless you have FI.

Hey Klepto,
I am thinking of going to that place to install the same muffler, don't think i am getting the resonator though. Did the $170 include the custom 2.25 in. piping as well?

yes, $170 was for piping from the cat to the res, then from the res to the muffler. you live around alameda? what kinda mods you got?

sorry man, your best bet would be to craiglist it, or wait for WW to reopen, but expect to pay like $300 brand new.

if you ever see me driving around, honk and wave

it'll prolly be louder. It might not fit in the stock place for the res though, so i'd stick with the 4" one.

that sounds great. Im in KY, no laws on emissions, so I could just run strait from a header to muffler correct? Or will that give it the ricey sound and not the sound like kleptos, shiney's, etc?

sounds dope klep. just a quick question tho. I thought the exhaust had a flex pipe?
did you replace that with custom, or no flex pipe? I only had me rear section done before
so it never was an issue. thanks

i have no idea what a flex pipe is. If you look at the pic of my undercarriage, you can see all the piping there yourself

it's supposed to be the braided looking thing that let's the pipe"flex" with the twisting of the motor. but if you got it done, I'm sure I could too.
