Cool PimpCL23's New Project Car

so... after my (literal) fender bender... i was driving my mom's van to work. i ended up putting $100 worth of gas just to get to work (and that was only for 5 days!!! i said "screw it.. ima buy another car!"

i now have both the CL and my "new" car now.

introducing the newest member to my family... (still no name for her)

This is when i first bought it

I got some coilovers from my cousin.

And... After Slammage

Just thought Id share

oh yea... the car is also a CLEAN TITLE! i was amazed at that part alone! everything in that car is original! it looked like no one ever sat in the back seats... great condition

then again... there is still 18 years of wear and tear on the body and paint... so hopefully ill repaint it myself with the help of my cousin over the summer... ...maybe

lol! oh...

there are a couple pics that are "HDR" (3 pics in 1.)

different exposures... DARK... MID... and BRIGHT. i used a program called Dynamic Photo HDR to combine the pics together.

the rest of the pics i shot in RAW. just messed with the contrast a lil... but nothing major to change the pics

Sounds clean as hell too!

How's it run? The only thing cosmetically that needs attention it looks like is the paint. What color do you think you're going to repaint it? I've always liked teggys, but I've never seen this gen in person. I think she has potential!

What are you going to do with the CL though?

im not sure what color i wanna paint it yet... i was thinking of doing a complete color change but at the same time i also think itll be cheaper and less time consuming if i left it the same color or maybe one shade darker.

im keeping the CL.. it aint going no where. i use it as my weekend cruiser.

Well, "rough" is the keyword to describe this car:

http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/c...cture001-1.jpg

At least the interior isn't that bad, other than the stains:

http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/c...rainterior.jpg

But hey, it's free. I'm only spending about 600$ to fix it up, as that's what I'm saving on insurance (driving it in the winter, good ole cl tranny's slipping in cold). Hopefully I can make it about as good as this (but I obviously won't be able to yet):

Right, I'm starting to try and find some junkyards to get a quarter and some wheels...but other than that, at least it's a project =) If my gf ends up getting her DC5 by fall however, I get her DC4 =))) I love the oldschool DA3, but a 3rd gen (even if it is an RS) beats em anyday.
