Nice spring day, new pics, finally installed window visors

Good lookin out to the homies for letting me know that the 5th gen accord coupe visors fit our cars. I love em!! Also, big ups to Excel detail for the Danase Wet Glaze. As you can see, it does the job quite well (no wax or polish in the pics, just the glaze). Finally got up off my ass and ordered the aftermarket sideskirts so I can paint and install the ww front and sides in a week or two. Then the car should be 98 percent done. Finally.

Thanks for looking!

looks good. love those rims on your car. one of the hottest first gens imo

Doctorsound 04-28-2008 12:54 AM

damn all these picture threads... now I want a fresh coat of paint, cause mine looks like hell...

DaInFaMMuS1 04-28-2008 12:54 AM

your car is so damn sick. Very nice 1st Gen, so clean and tasteful

Malimban123 04-28-2008 01:34 AM

Pure sex

klepto 04-28-2008 02:39 AM

looks sick, all you need is a lip kit

ZeroCL 04-28-2008 05:48 AM

..which he plans on getting, so that'll be interesting to see. and uhh, as much as i like your car the way it is..i think if it had some dark ass tint it'd be sickk.

AznX TL 04-28-2008 11:45 AM

rolling shots would be sick....

fliplyricist1 04-28-2008 01:30 PM

thanks a lot guys

klepto: most definitely going to get tint when the summer months come around, as it's gonna be a scorcher. But right now my focus is just getting the kit and everything else looking as I want it. But yes tint is definitely in the works (not just for looks but functionality purposes)

azn: funny you mention that, because my friend put me up on a ghetto 'rig' setup that I'm going to be trying out...involves a couple of industrial suction cups from harborfreight and some industrial sized zipties with a tripod LOL. But it works...and wouldn't bother me much if failure occurs with my lowly canon point-n'-shoot :)

ZeroCL 04-28-2008 03:16 PM

that was me that asked about the tint and you better hope that shit dont fall off and hit your wheels..

fliplyricist1 04-28-2008 03:21 PM

LOL yeah, I know what you mean

but its all good because rig shots are usually only shot while going like 2 mph or less with super long exposure times. Plus quite a few people use the same rig setup with their heavy slr's and haven't had any problems.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=92825

These suction cups are serious.

DaInFaMMuS1 04-28-2008 04:28 PM

the suction cups wont damage ur car?

1V4N 04-28-2008 04:46 PM

wow thats a clean black 1st gen

love the rims and understated luxury look to it

swiftt5389 04-28-2008 04:56 PM

Tint for the win and that shit is hot!

97BlackAckCL 04-28-2008 05:53 PM

Man, it's funny how you throw window visors on and do a shoot, yet i pretty much ignore even looking at them, cuz I just love staring at your car, great shots

GianJ30a 04-28-2008 10:31 PM

always so clean man, looking sexy

spencer_homer 04-29-2008 12:59 AM

damn your car is hot. it makes me want to acheive a verrrry similar look

and i love your non tint, i think it looks great. i think some s2k seats would set that off

AznX TL 04-29-2008 04:38 PM

:spit: holy shat i didnt even notice them.

fliplyricist1 04-29-2008 04:54 PM

haha the visors are pretty subtle, especially on the black paint

I'm actually testing waters on the rims (about 30/70 on letting them go at this point) and am looking for some 9/9.5's instead for a more aggressive fitment. If anyone knows any dope used luxury rims (like eurolines, etc) in those specs, please let me know. Thanks!

shnee 04-29-2008 06:17 PM

 man if you get some eurolines, you've got to bag that shit.
I see you on VSC, so you know what I'm talking about.
If you're going all out, go alll fucking out.

That's a pretty clean first gen... what are the specs on your wheels, offset, etc.? and :what: 9/9.5 on a first gen would look sick, I'm thinkin of running somewhere in that range 19x9 but that's on a second gen. Our cars can accomadate more aggressive fitments then people think. I'm waitin on my coilovers first... then it's research, drop, roll those fender's and tuck. to you sir.

fliplyricist1 04-29-2008 06:33 PM

schnee : haha yeah no doubt man

there was actually a SICK set of Godfather rims with perfect fitment specs (Fabulous lookalikes) on rbwheels that I was about to snatch up but sold :(

I'm still on the prowl though

Jay: thanks bro, definitely keep me posted on what you decide to go with. yep, our cl's are definitely a lot more accommodating than a lot of people think. I personally believe perfect fitment all around is 9 up front with mid 20's offset and 9.5 rear with upper 20's offset. That is just about as flush as you can get with some stretched tires :toocool:

as for my rim specs, they're all in this thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/wtt-super-rare-18x8-29-x9-36-4-5x114-3-wiser-mesh-full-polish-w-gold-rivets-390026/

I've already got a perspective buyer on the zilvia forums who's been looking for my exact rims in the same sizes for over a year...so now I just have to find a replacement set that I like

JayT 04-29-2008 07:07 PM

you running 215 stretched? IMO the set your running now is perfect, that extra 1/.5 if you go 9/9.5 would sit completely flush :toocool: ... after checking out the other pics in the thread, those wheels look amazing on!!!!! doesn't look like your running any negative camber??? for a driven car that set is perfect, nice to see people running aggressive fitments. I probably won't be getting another set for a little while, gotta do some saving, pay off some bills, get my coilovers, then shop around for the right set. I'll def. keep you posted when I decide on a set. Can't wait to see the replacement set, if you decide to go with 9/9.5 at those offsets that's gonna be ridiculously sexy  . you sticking with 18's?

fliplyricist1 04-29-2008 07:27 PM

lol thanks man

actually I'm running full camber (no camber kit all around) and cambered really bad up front and maybe -2.x-low -3.x out back. I'm basing all my calcuations for the new rims based upon my current cambered setup and how much clearance I have right now. Getting 9.5's out back and keeping the offset pretty constant will mean that the stretched tires will pretty much be molesting full rolled fenders out back, which will be as flush as its ever gonna get. I debated doing it the psuedo route with these wisers and getting a set of 20mm spacers out back instead, but I just really don't like the idea of riding on large spacers, period (for safety concerns). So now my quest continues...it's not an easy quest to find those sizes in the 4 lug pattern, but I'm determined! I'm definitely sticking to 18's though, since my car is soon to be kitted so anything short of 18 will look small for the look I'm going for. I hear ya on expenses...man my car is such a money pit. But I try to make all my purchases ones where I could get all or close to all my money back if I ever resell down the road.

Best of luck in your quest man!

DaInFaMMuS1 04-29-2008 08:58 PM

this acura is just so OEM clean, i cant stop staring. makes me want to throw my axis rims back on w/some stretched tires n get rid of the headlight tint

GianJ30a 04-29-2008 09:25 PM

i didnt know u had a video

:hump:

fliplyricist1 04-29-2008 10:49 PM

oh haha yeah that's a sh*tty vid though, that was just to show what danase wet glaze can do

better video quality is here, maybe for people interested in seeing how the fitment of the rims are:

creekcl 04-30-2008 01:09 PM

what kind of rim's do you have on the car?????? are they real 2 pcs ????

DaInFaMMuS1 04-30-2008 01:10 PM

lol i'd love to, but it'll have to wait for a while since i just spent a good 4 g's on my car. I could put the rims back on and change the lights, but i wanna get stretched tires. The tires i have on there right now definitely aren't stretched, so the sport tuner look is gonna have to suffice for a while lol.

fliplyricist1 04-30-2008 02:06 PM

^^ haha yeah I hear ya man, cars can soon turn into a money pit. I'm starting to spend a lot more than I should : /

creek: they're old school Taneisya Wiser luxury mesh wheels circa the early 90's...true 3 piece with forged stepped barrells. You could theoretically have custom barrells put in for huuuuge ass lips just like the old school bbs meshies if you wanted to

https://i32.tinypic.com/2q1ibu1.jpg

and I'm pumped...tomorrow my oem jack should come in via dhl (so I'll have 2 jacks to work with) so I'm going to be dropping the car another .7 inches all around so it'll be tucking a finger gap all around. I jacked up the rear tires tentatively to see how it would look and it looks TUFF. Hopefully weather will be nice so I can snap a pic or two of the new stance

notorious7182010 04-30-2008 03:00 PM

lovin those rims!!!

97BlackAckCL 04-30-2008 04:11 PM

Can't wait to see it more slammed

DaInFaMMuS1 04-30-2008 04:44 PM

damnit flip, you're gonna make me impatient and have to spend even MORE money if u do that! :whyme:

creekcl 04-30-2008 05:42 PM

thanx alot buddie ...... those wheels are hot..... do you know where i can get a set??

fliplyricist1 04-30-2008 05:54 PM

np man

umm....good luck finding a set lol they were discontinued in the early 90's and are just about impossible to find in the secondary market in good condition

closest rim in terms of design are probably the Chevlon mesh WRD's, but those are more expensive than BBS LM's : O

switchfootvz 04-30-2008 09:26 PM

ok what the hell is a wet glaze plz tell me

fliplyricist1 04-30-2008 10:30 PM

a glaze is just a secondary product that adds wetness/depth to the paint. it's usually applied after a polish and before a wax to give the polish extra depth and 'wet' look before you protect it with wax

but danase wet glaze can be used at any step in the process and gives awesome results
