wow, i hate you. these wheels look bad as hell. you should however swap the gold badges and grill to match the wheels. how much of a drop is this.

Thanks a bunch for the feedback/critiques fellas, greatly appreciated!

as per the emblems, sorry to say, but the gold is staying. I just feel like I want to do something 'fairly' unique with this car and try to bring it back to the 90's all around with the polished meshies w/ gold rivets and the old school gold badging. i'll admit, at first I was totally opposed to the idea, but after having seen it now, it's grown on me and I dont think I can change it up. The MOST I'd do is get ride of the 'acura' and '3.0 CL' badges on the rear, and perhaps black out the middle bar on the grille and just have the floating gold A. As per the drop, I'm guessing maybe like...3 inches up front and like...2.x out back? Not really sure since they're coilovers, but all I know is that I could fit 5 spacious fingers up front before the drop and 4 out rear, and right now im tucking a little more than a finger up front (but its badly cambered, so hard to tell) and half a finger in the rear

And please, do a scenic photoshoot so that i can get a new background! What size tires would i need to get the stretched tires look on my 18's w/ lip? Mine are staggered though, bigger in back than in front.

Thanks a lot for the comments/suggestions/critiques guys!!

InFaM: yeah man you're gonna have to stretch tires if you want to fit. 205-40 (8) and 225-40 (9) is what I am running in the pics (yes the rims are also staggered), and the rears have no room left in the rear even after cambering them the f-out. Any more and it would be fender rolling time. Yep, it'll make the tires look stretched and rubber band-ish, but you gotta pay/sacrafice to play. Oh, and sorry for not getting back to you brah, but I don't think I can sell the stockies now since I'll probably need them for our crappy winter.

I'll definitely see if I can find some better scenery, but it's just hard driving the car to any locations now without fear of encountering a nasty incline or bumps that would prevent me from doing so haha. Still gotta adjust the d2 settings cuz right now it's riding like a go-kart, and I can't afford a trip to the chiropractor.

Thanks again!

NICE... I hate you.

I must say that the stock corners look good on your ride. Normally I would say get some clear corners, but your ride is CLEAN.

Oh, and what camera did you use for these shots?

Thanks brah!

The camera is a canon A620....pretty old but still gets the job done. Want to step up to a DSLR sometime in the near future, but for now the canon has enough manual functions to keep me happy

thanks again guys!

dav: right on man...haha yeah that is pretty freaky....both coming from cb's and both going to CL's...I'd have to say it's definitely a great upgrade in every respect

as per the condition of the car, my parents were the original owners since the car came off the factory floor in 97...so it's always been in the family and always been garaged. However, my parents suffered from the 'convenience' care syndrome and maybe waxed/polished the car once in 9 years. It only saw drive-through car washes

Needless to say, I've always been a clean freak since I've been driving, and my first line of business was detailing the car. Initially, I started with Meguiars professional medium cut cleaner, followed by their professional number 7 pure polish, and then number 26 tech wax. That really restored the luster.

As for maintaining it, I've been using NXT for the past couple weeks, and this stuff is incredible for black cars and probably the best over the counter wax I've ever used. Really hides swirls well (since swirls can't be permanently eliminated by hand application) In the pics, it has 3 layers of NXT, and the paint looked incredibly deep and wet in person. Looked amazing at night with the pearl. But I do tend to wax twice a month, which is probably overkill, but I like keeping my car looking new. Everything is done by hand though, but that will soon change with a porter cable.

Oh, and I live where it rains about 330 days out of the year. It's just fortunate we've had a clear (yet cold) streak this past week or so.

Thanks for looking

It's w/e just saw you post in 2 different threads about him wanting to sell them and they're the wrong lug pattern, not to mention he JUST bought them and put them on the car.

Thanks again for the replies/comments guys!

As per the rims, they're 18x8 front and 18x9 rear. And I DO believe they'll fit second gen CL's, as they are dual 4&5 lug 114.3....it was just a bonus for me, as I can transfer these rims to a lot of newer cars if I ever part ways.

And actually, I may consider selling these rims, as I am thinking about going to an 18x9 and 18x9.5 setup. I shall keep all those interested posted

I debadged the trunk yesterday, and am kinda bummed because there appears to be slight 'paint bubbling' around the letters. Oh well, guess they'll go back on for now. Starting the tsx retrofit this weekend (going to keep the chrome headlight theme with chrome shrouds) so wish me luck!

Nice. What's the offset on your current set of rims?

Dang, 18X9 and 18X9.5 set up! With what offset?

current offset on these rims is

+27 up front and +35 out back

new rims will probably be low 30's all around. Going for a 4 inch lip in the rear vs. the current 3 inch lip, and roll the crap out of the fenders and camber tuck
