new car

well, me and the girlfriend started browsing the market for a new car for her. While doing so, I fell into my bug of car swapping. Sadly enough, I let the CL go to a new home yesterday. I traded it for a 99 Civic Ex with a GSR motor. The guy who has it now lives a couple minutes away from me, and I've known him since highschool. I feel comfortable with him owning it, as he is a walking Honda textbook. I'm sad to let it go, but I'm excited to get back into a smaller car again like my old ones.

I have these wheels up for sale/trade, and I will be swapping coils this weekend to go lower. A front lip and HIDs are in need too, but i've only had the car for a day.

I just couldn't handle automatic anymore, and I wasn't motivated with the car anymore. With all the new car talk with the girlfriend, I cracked. I'm ready for everyone to disown me now but here's some info on it.

Interior:
* Stock dark grey
* new dark grey carpet
* Skunk 2 shift knob
* Password JDM shift boot
* Full double din indash gps/radio/cd etc etc
* Civic Si cluster
* Kicker L7 15nch mounted with a MA Audio HK401SX

Exterior:

* Tint 35% front 20% rear and sunroof
* OEM CTR style headlights
* Clear fog lights with Honda harness and switch
* 02 civic EP3 wheels 205/55/15 Bridgestone Potenzas
* Eibach sportline springs,stock struts. (swapping for skunk2s this weekend)

Engine:

* 94 B18C1 GSR motor and trans
* Stock exhaust
* milled head when rebuilt
* .051" thick headgasket
* standard bore with file fit rings and all new acl bearings.
* HP racing golden eagle styled intake manifold
* AEM fuel rail
* SI engine harness
* OBD2 LS distributor
* Obd2b-Obd1 on a Obd1 p28
* Exedy stage 2 3 puck clutch
* Hasport EK stock mounts
* DC sports dual bend aluminum short shifter

i miss my heated seats and the steering wheel's radio volume/track changer the most

yeah its a fun car. madsteez and me are friends, so we'll be in touch with both of the cars. i'm gonna miss the CL's unique-ness, but I'm very happy to have another fun Civic. I know when I finish painting the Sportmax's for him, i'm gonna miss it even more.

if i had've kept that, the lip would've been sprayed white, roofrack off, and a hot stance with white wide wheels. but nope, i'm a dumbass.

i'm hoping to slowly get this coupe looking dope and hold on to it.

I can see the draw in civics and tegs cuz they're like Lego's and you can do so much modification to them, but they're so common and that's what turns me off from them. No matter where you live, they're thief bait. Good luck with it though, it looks pretty clean, and GSR's are fun to drive. I can't blame you for missing a 5speed either

i like that they have more following. yeah i liked being the only guy at car meets with a CL, but it was just getting to be a blah feeling. i like small hondas because you can swap stuff around easier and faster

Sorry to see you let go of the CL. It was a big motivator for me to start modding mine and I'll miss your photography. The Civic was a nice pick up though. Actually, I'm thinking about getting rid of my EH3 shell and trading it for a 95 sedan.

Oh yeah, if you're interested, I have a set of Skunk2 Stage 1 cams for sale. You probably have other plans, but these I'm selling for cheap. They made 179whp on my GSR motor when it was only 11:1 compression and simple bolt-ons.

so i got the coupe looking a little better. traded my eibach sportlines for adjustable skunk2's and went a tad bit lower. got the Si lip for $25 and it was kinda ratty. i cleaned it up a bit and sprayed it with dupli-color red paint. traded my EP3 Si wheels for five 16" Circuit 8's. They were gunmetal and one was bronze. painted them with rust-oleum painters touch spraypaint and clear coat. i still need to paint the sideskirts when i get a nice day. and later today i'm trading my stock door panel inserts and armrest for red wrapped inserts and armrest.
