i also own a black cl, the amber is nice but it's too stock...
the clear lights are also nice but everybody has them, and another alternative is blacking them out.

i used a paint available at just about any car improvement shop called night shades, it cost about 15$(canadian...approx. 10-12 u.s.) for the can.
took off the lights cleaned them and then put on about 3 coats. they look black but when you put on the light, it shines through.



it is a damn shame to post pics of such a dirty cl on this site...i am sorry guys but it is 8 degrees farenheit outside which is like -13 celcius... and so if i wash my car the doors WILL freeze shut! and there ain't no handles to pull on!

 

did you tint your clears or ur ambers?

 

ambers...it gives a sortof dark orange

i think if you were to tint the clears it would really look red...

 

i tinted my ambers but fucked up huge...now i gotta redo em..

legal? what fun is that? legal doesn't make your car look good imo the darker the better. i got 5% all around and love it.

:shakehead i feel you man.then do 20%-35% i don't know how the laws where your at work but in NJ it is illegal to have the front driver/pass tinted at all so that's why i said f*ck it and went 5%. i would be harassed either way so what do i got to lose. my boy got 20% on his cl looks real good not too dark/not to light.
also might want to look into titanium tints. they cost $$$ but they're

 

how do the 5% tints look, cuz im considering doing all the windows a mild tint, so ppl my radar detector and head unit stay safely inside my vehicle.

 

dark, takes alittle getting used to. i love my 5% but it is dark as f*ck.
