ideas, suggestions: black cl
got it a month ago... 2k for a 97 2.2 5spd with 120k miles, not bad. got new tires and rims (needed them), a cold air, and a new timing belt
what should i do? not sure about dropping it, i hear the ride gets much much worse

Good start, ride doesn't get bad if you get the right suspension, my tein SS-P's ride amazing. Even a set of springs and adjustable shocks make a good combo, but coilovers are much better if you ask me. You're off to a good start, I like the rims and clears, a tint would really set your car off

please do the car a favor and SLAM IT TO THE EARTHHHHH!! Lol no but really, get some sportlines and some kyb agx's and you'll have a near stock ride with a much sportier look.

CL in lawnmower status
nice, get some HID's if don't have already, the stock headlights with stock bulbs suck for light output
and listen to these guys, a drop is really a good thing
it wasn't one of my top priorities, but after seeing a good deal and snatching up some k-sport coilovers, i've really loved the ride of it, and plus the way it looks
besides that, there are tons of projects you can undertake, some of them highly detailed in the DIY section, so you can modify the cl to suit your taste and needs
and btw welcome to AZine

thanks for the welcome guys
doing the short shift install this weekend, picked up a 97 accord adapter after searching for the prelude shifter for a while.
Could someone educate me as to how much dropping it would cost, what i'd need and if i could do it myself? from what i know, just springs is not the way to go, am i right?

Nope, especially if you want a nice ride. I lowered my car on just stock struts and the ride sucked. If you put some aftermarket struts on there you should be good.
My setup on my old CL was Eibach Sportlines (~$240), KYB AGX struts (~$400? I can't remember anymore), and Eibach front camber kit, which I think might have been around $100.

Firstly let me tell ya the ride looks good, second if you are seriously worried about the ride quality after lowering well the best advice I think anyone can give you is don't purchase anything that is not a worthy brand. Beware some of the junk on ebay (springs & cheap coilovers) keep it simple to start, eibach springs w/ some adjustable AGX's should give you something nice to work with without breaking your pockets. About a 1.5" drop and the option to adjust your suspension to the prefered stiffness/softness of your choice. Anyway whatever you decide best of luck with the ride!

thanks guys. more pics coming soon - baby steps though - new tires first, then lower, then cold-air. Haven't seen too many things done to CL-Ss i've liked - ideas?

no ATTS i think, just LSD up front, which is amazing for cornering and especially snow. I'm really torn between driving her as is for a year or two and getting an s4 or m3, or spending a few grand on headers, CAI, suspension, wheels, p2r upgrades... Anyone know which roof racks fit? I badly need space for my bikes and the spoiler takes that out
