okay good. cause someone told me that my car would look good with a roof spoiler. i instantly had a 1999 to early 2000's flashback.

idk. im not into any kind of spoiler. i really like the clean look of the body when it doesnt have one. and thats not just our cars, its every car haha.

To be honest theyre pretty bright. Brighter than i thought they were gonna be. Definitely not a replacement for fog lights tho. Was initially gonna fabricate them into the clear bumper light housing and use them as signals. Might still do that when i decide to get fogs but havent found a pair that i like or is bright enough

Damn Germ, that looks great! Glad to see it came out so well. I'd throw a small spacer on those wheels and call it a day

thank you. that means a lot coming from one of the og's in the game....

you know i was thinking about throwing a spacer on there but that means id have to do some fender rolling no?...unfortunately my car is a salvaged car. it earned that wonderful title from a pretty bad rear end hit (learned that by piecing things together with the help of my boy who painted my car). whoever repaired the car after that initial accident (it happened with the previous owner) did such a shitty job that when my boy tried to roll the right rear fender, the metal from the shitty weld started to separate. i can roll ALL the other fenders except for that one. and in order to fix it it looks like id pretty much need to get a new panel (which im in the process of trying to find).

id love to sit like flip's car or even justin's car when he still had the CL but for right now i have to settle with the stance im at now ....which makes me very sad hahahahah...the good thing is my cars low enough to look good but not so low that i cant drive it..

im actually hoping to find someone with a 99 3.0 thats parting out the car. i need a couple interior pieces that ive either lost or have been broken by previous shitty radio installers. the wood trim is probably the most important piece i need. im hoping to finish all the projects before the next car show and before the winter time so i can just garage it.

Damn, the fresh paint looks great bro, and I'm digging the LED fogs, definitely would look better in the clear corner location though

yeah i think imma grab another set of clears and then just fabricate them around the LEDs to turn them into signal lights. i really do want to get HID fogs still but havent really found a pair. not to mention im not even quite sure how to install HID fogs if my car didnt come with fogs already. theres this kit i found on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-2-0-HID-Fog-Light-Projectors-Lens-Kit-included-Slim-HID-Kit-H3-3K-6K-/111116828853?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19df1440b5&vxp=mtr
let me know what you guys think. hoping these things come with detailed instructions cause im still a bit confused as to how to install a supplementary HID kit for fog lights. am i just tapping into my low beam HID kit?...currently both my hi and lows are on HID.

EDIT:

sorry forgot to add...so for the spacers. im tucked pretty well and just BARELY have enough clearance to be able to rub fender lip. without having to roll my fenders (due to the reason i stated in my last post) will i still be able to throw spacers on there? what size spacer should i go with?

Why not try a set of ES300 fogs which are projector fogs? You can find many sets on ebay. They look awesome too (yellow). You can take the projector out and mount them in any housing you want.

Yupp, ES300 OEM fogs, not a fog light kit. They are projectors, not HIDs.

I'd start with a 5mm spacer and see how that sits, farthest you'll probably need is 10 to 12mm. Diggin the fogs too, I like where this is going

No CL for me anymore man. I dont think those would look very well TBH. I would find a nice round housing to retrofit them in, and it would allow for a cleaner look. You could find some round generic fogs, preferably with a plastic or acrylic lens so they dont crack, and mount them in there.

How do you plan on wiring them? Youre gonna need a relay for each fog, and a switch of course.

yeah ive had fogs in there before. some generic ones i had like in the early 2000s haha. i have a box full (not literally but i have HELLA) of 30 amp relays just for this type of stuff and i goofed on an ebay order one time and now i have 345 rocker switches hahaha (if yall need some ill be happy to send you some..haha..just pay shipping which is honestly a few bucks).

hmmmm honesty i didnt give it any thought before i bought them hahahaha. damn i shouldve..but i like the look. got any suggestions or maybe pics?...honestly its like pulling nails and teeth when searching for different stuff outside of our first gen community. its like our car doesnt exist outside of this forum haha. prolly cause everyone on that tokyo drift hype.

You could make those fit plenty of ways, maybe just mount them into the grilles somehow or you could cut out a piece of sheet metal with a hole, cover over the housings and paint it.

Well these cars are becoming more and more extinct, its a sad thing brotha. I like blacks idea with the sheet metal. Youre obviously gonna have to chop that lower grill up to make those fit, maybe mount them recessed so you can put a nice cover over them with just the fog cut out to hide the bulky bracket and housing, ya know?

I think the best way would be to mimic them with EP3 fog lights - rounded edges along the inside of the grill with a flat cut facing on the inside (hard to picture) but somewhat like these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-05-Civic-...-/190804678853

When you have the sheet metal cut, mount it to the housing so the fog light is the only part showing. Then chop up the grill and use some L brackets to mount them. Again, hard to picture.

howdy acurazine. been a little bit. hadda take a break from the forums cause this site makes me wanna sell my leg for car parts...hahaha...anyway...everyones cars lookin real good. it makes me wanna second judge all the stuff that ive gotten and done to mine haha...

anyway...so i ended up gettin a pair of those es300 fogs. this was like in august when i got them haha. and im finally getting around to putting them on...but heres my question..

i wanted to use an h3 hid kit with them. thing is..how do i connect the hid kit without stock bulb sockets...?? you get me?..like..obviously to connect an hid kit you need to be able to have the stock bulb harness to plug into the kit right?...well since there isnt a stock bulb harness for fog lights how can i use an hid kit for the fogs. or is there even a way?...i HOPE im making sense. ive seen things like socket harnesses and adapters etc etc. but i still dont see how im able to add on an additional hid kit for my fogs.

i hope my question makes sense...thank you in advance

im sure that if you use spacers then you will have to roll the fenders further.

its up to you man.
