I have a 97 CL3.0 & I need to replace the battery as it no longer holds a consistent charge. Looking to save a few $$ & I want to buy a battery second hand. I'd love to buy a $100 new battery but I doubt the car will live that much longer. I am having issues finding the perfect match second hand, which I believe is a "group 24" size. Does anyone have any experience installing a larger battery with minimal mods? If so, what group size & or battery dimensions did you install?

ok, a battery is pretty much a battery, you dont want to use a lawn mower battery but you can use a lot of different sizes and kinds., top post 330cca and higher for summer, 550cca or higher for winter cars. hell i got a honda cr-v battery in my car, i dont run a sterio and its a summer car but its in and works dandy. stock size battery is 42lbs. 550cca, the cr-v battery is 31lbs and 330cca, my girl was too chunky so she went on a diet.
