installing aftermarket deck with bose system...

I drive a '99 cl 3.0 and have the factory bose system... i was wondering how to take the bose deck out and install my new one. I also heard from a guy at bestbuy that if I want to install aftermarket subs and an amp, I would have to gut out the entire bose system and that would be very expensive. A friend of mine said he could bypass it so I wouldn't have to re-wire the entire car. So how should I go about installing the deck? and the subs and amp when I get to that?

I have 99' 3.0 with subs, amps, and the deck with the stock bose inside speakers.. I would insist that you do it all at once instead of peice by peice....When they installed my deck they ripped the whole bose audio system out..I think they will have to rewire...

most bose oem systems, with the amp, are 2 ohm systems, meanwhile aftermarket and non-bose are 4ohm.

so yea, if u get an aftermarket deck, you'll need aftermarket *4ohm* speakers. not to hard of a swap.

also its should be VERY easy to by-pass the amp. this type of work should NOT cost an arm or a leg.

yes, u can completely rewire everything but you don't need to do all that work.

Yes, you can bypass the amp and keep your existing speakers and power them directly off the head unit, the bose amps aren't the easiest things to trigger with aftermarket head units, I've tried it on a few CL's and ended up bypassing each time. You can add bass with a bass amp also running straight through the head unit.

All you have to do is install a new deck that has auxiliary cables and install a pare from the amp to the deck.
