spend some more money and get an actual HID kit, not these fake "HID" bulbs, that are just colored blue.
search as we have many threads on this type of topic, just search HID or something
i personally bought an HID kit from vvme.com as it was one of the cheapest kits i could find, and have been using them for 2 years with no problems
but if you search for some threads you will see many other suggestions
...just don't waste your money on these "HID" lookalike bulbs you are looking at on ebay, that's a waste of money IMO

thats something ill consider soon...for now im just thinking in terms with the headlight restoration cause im sure after its clean the bulbs are gonna look like shite...
ill have to take a gander around HID conversion kits and see what the benefits are..im not into making my car look like something out of some racing movie or anything with crazy colors etc..but im into making it look a tad newer if thats possible with nice blue light or something...
cheers

i did find this on another site about HID vs Halogen
question....do u have to change both hi and low beam to hid or u only have the option for either or?
HID vs Halogen
HID lighting improves durability by 10 times as road vibrations can cause damage to halogen filament, but there is nothing to break inside an HID bulb. These light sources also produce a blue-white light that is safer because it is closer to natural daylight.
The light output from a 35W HID Xenon lamp is 300% more light than a 55W halogen bulb. The HID Xenon system will also consume much less power from your vehicles electrical system and generate much less heat during operation.

- 3000k - golden yellow most suitable for fog lights
- 5000k - pure white closest to OEM headlights (brightest color choice)
- 6000k - white with a hint of blue
- 8000k - blue/white mixture
- 10000k - blue with a hint of white
- 12000k - blue
- 30000k - purple

Save your money and just buy a cheap HID plug and play kit, the eurodesign painted bulbs have sucky light output, and the silverstars have a really short life span. You can get an HID kit for the price of some silverstars

seriously just buy an HID kit, it will be the best use of your money
anything else and you're just throwing it away.
all those blue painted bulbs just reduce light output with the dumb blue film they put on them
and btw 4300k is closest to just white, and what manufacturers use on cars with stock projector and hids
if you want some blue with still great light output, get 6000k
and if your gonna buy those blue film bulbs or silverstars then you really haven't done any research or looked up anything on this topic, and i don't really understand why you asked for advice in the first place then if you're not gonna at least look into what we recommend

Yes, 9006 HID kit will work, I would recommend the relay harness, it will help alleviate a number of problems, and no it doesn't look funky with just low beam HID's they're brighter than stock and you won't use your high beams as much anyway

i installed just the kit, it's recommended to use the harness to hook it straight to the battery since they draw more power at startup then your regular halogens, but i've personally had no problems so far
And as far as highbeams, as chris said, you probably don't use them that much so don't bother, and also if you ever flash your highbeams, you wouldn't want to use HIDs as it's not good for them to turn on and off quickly.
if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
but this is a quite popular topic, so most of your questions can be answered by searching
