Side skirts modification
NO EXTENDING OR SHORTENING etc etc. The 4 door side skirt will have two tab thingys originally. You must cut off the rear one on each side so that they'll fit. We only need one tab, and can only use one tab. Because it was meant for a 4 door., they have 2 tabs. So we chop it off. Leave about 1 inch so that the cut won't show. I wasn't to worried about my nasty cutting skills, since it's only seen with the door open. I did it with a jigsaw. Very simple.
To install it. It's very straight forward. Couple screws etc and you're done. I didn't even tape it on. If you notice the red backing for the tape is still there. I did everything myself. So you should be able to too.

Rear Lip modification
I didn't do the rear lip modding myself since I bought it off hybridnrg. But all it takes is cutting out the exhaust hole thingy and that's absolutely it. Some people just curve the lip around the exhaust (bend it up). NO CUTTING IN HALF etc etc. The trick is fitment and how high you mount it, angle etc. Don't angle the lip at 45 degrees....
Installing it takes time and patience. Make sure the center of the rear lip is almost touching the license plate and work around from that. Getting the center is most important and then the sides, if they're too long...you angle them down or up to make up for the space/gap etc.
Some people say the side skirts are too low. But they really make the car looook much lower and finish the car off. It looks empty without the side skirts. But side skirts without a rear lip is silly.
With no side skirts/rear lip ...white car is Chuson from the tsx side of acurazine
No side skirts. But with rear lip. 97 CL - unpainted side skirts.
Thanks to klepto, and dragon084 for answering all my questions about their lip kits.

Post if you've got questions.
cant see last pic but this doesnt seem too difficult makes me wanna try this sooner than planned. how are your sides and back held on. screws and 3m tape?? where did you put the screws, only on the sides by the wheel wells??
Side skirts need only 4 screws each side skirt. 2 in each wheel well. No point for more really unless you really want to secure it. I think the side skirts will rub a lot. So I want it to be able to move a bit. No tape needed really. The door keeps the side skirts in place when closed. The tape only secures it a little to make it look flush with the door open. A 1-2 cm difference.
edit - there's a spot to place more screws in on the bottom of the side skirt. But I didn't use them. You can't really jack up your car with anything other than the oem jack. I haven't tried a low profile jack, or driving over some wood to raise it etc.
The rear has 3/4inch 3m double sided tape and lots of screws. 2 in each wheel well and 4 or 5 underneath.

I dont like how the sideskirts hang down lower than the front and rear lip, and the exhaust cut out is bad lol. Looks way better than just the front lip though, i'd prefer this setup over just the front lip for your car. I like your rims too.

sides need removed. car needs cleaned. I hate seeing pics of dirty ass cars. i mean shit, i know canada is like winter 8 of 12 months, but it should atleast be nice enough out to clean it. please? rear doesnt look too bad, except that exhaust hole, looks ghetto. Has potential, post when its clean and finished!
The sides make a huge difference I think. It looks too stock without them. Even with a rear lip, without the sides it looks like any other CL really. It makes the whole car look lower and sleeker I think.
I came home from work and noticed people keep asking about how to do such and such. So I did a quick help thread...not a photoshoot :p
It's been raining like 3/7 days every week. No time for it really.
Exhaust hole has been explained alreaaaady...

now that i look at it, i see why i thought the rear lip looked all messed up. i was looking at the piece on the right and thought you cut it, but it was just a piece that hung. clean it and post pics
That is one sexy dirty car. Looks good man! I plan on doing the front/rear lip without the sides. They just hang too low for me
Thanks for posting this thread, some good reference pics, etc. I may PM you with questions eventually.

nacirema....I live in downtown Toronto.
Nope the stock side skirts stay on. You drill a starter hole and then use self taping screws to secure it. They'll screw into the stock side skirt.
It's possible that some people took the stock skirts off. But I didn't.

lol si...I felt like an idiot when I started ripping off my stock driver sideskirt...then realized the wings west skirts had nothing to 'hold onto.' The stock sideskirts HAVE to be on to install the ww sides....they simply slide over the stock skirts and are held in by a tab in the door as well as optional screws on each end near the fenderwells. Probably one of the easiest things to install in terms of body mods
Wonder what those skirts would look like with the WW front lip... I like the rear skirt, but the chop job on the exhaust hole, no bueno. Not bad tho, looks good. As long as it makes you happy, all that matters.
I think I just took poorly angled pictures. Like the first picture... the side shot is terrible. makes my car look 4x4 and doesn't represent the side skirts very well.
The exhaust cut actually looks much better than picture shows. That's probably because I didn't cut it haha. It's winter now so I've got the side skirts+rims off. I'll take pictures just to show you what it's like and how the exhaust cut looks from further back.
Here's whatever old pictures I have of the car.

is that a factory nose lip? because if thats a WW lip man that looks way out of wack on the car. Looks like part of the front fell off because its so much higher than the side skirts. The rear seems to look a little closer but still the sides are way lower then the front and looks weird to me. Is there an option that lines up with a WW lip and side skirts and rear? or is that just something you have to get made for another car and modify all pieces to make them line up correctly?

Front lip looks like it lines up fairly good to the rear, but the sides hang LOW. That's also why I've seen some people throw garage liner or whatever on the fronts to line em up.
Not sure how good that liner would look on anything other than black though.

I angled my front lip down some so it goes lower on the sides...
One of the OG's with a black CL... Baka T I believe did the same thing. He angled the part, where it touches the wheel well, pointing downwards instead of lined up with the bumper. I didn't do that because I had no idea if I was gonna continue modding my car when I originally got my front lip.
Here's some recent pictures without a side skirt. Lines up nice eh. I think it's more the angle I took the picture at too. I took it standing instead of crouching like the other pictures. I'll update it in a few months when springs around and I put the sides back on.

LOVE THE SETUP on that car
yeah I like that allot better. I love the way side skirts look on some cars but only when the front and back line up with them. Those other sides were hanging allot lower than the front and back before and it was throwing off the whole look of the car to me
