front wheel bearing r/r

hey guys newbie to the group here but i have a pretty decent knowledge of automotive know how. i have a 97 CL that my in laws bought brand new and handed down to my wife so when i married her i sort of inherited it. its been a great car but its starting to show its age and the brakes started squeaking so i thought id do a quick front end brake job yesterday. Got a cheap set of rotors and pads from oreilly and planned out two hours in my day yesterday. little did i know what i was getting into. So after buying a $20 36mm socket to remove the axle nut i figured out i had to remove the knuckle. 30 mins and a can of penetrating lube later i got the knuckle off only to find figure out i had to press the assembly apart. after an hour of banging with a mallet and a pickle fork i got it apart. I checked the bearings and they didnt look good so i want to replace them but all the parts shops were closed so i changed the rotors and pads and buttoned it back together. My question is how spendy are bearings? and do i absolutely need to have them pressed in an out? Also i saw something about a rotor over hub conversion but after searching i found nothing. Thanks for any help you can provide and i look forward to posting more in the future.

i believe it was ghost that came up with the rotor over hub conversion kit, it was pretty well priced too, and IMO definetly worth it.

well guys the tips on changing brakes helped me greatly. i used the tip of setting rotor on blocks and pounding the bolts from the back side to seperate the rotor/hub assembly and also used a large socket to pound it out as well. Also gives me hope that i can replace the entire hub/bearing assembly if i need to in the future.
