f22 to h23a swap.... NEED HELP PLEASE
hi im new to acurazine and i just wanted to ask a few questions. at the moment i have an all stock 98 acura cl and i want to swap out my stock f22 for a jdm h23a vtec. i just wanted to know if i can use my stock ecu and wire harness from my f22 on the new h23a? and if i can use the f22 ecu and wire harness, do i have to use the f22 distributor and/or or parts too? this is my 1st engine swap so please be considerate and knowledgeable, thank you

If you have a 98 CL then you don't have an F22. It would be an F23 so that is the guide you need to be searching for. Also a guide for a 6th gen accord should be very similar as they have an F23 as well.

even though the photos are no longer there you can read from the link posted, here is a link from the first page instead of the last one where they are talking about doing the exact same swap https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-1997-1999-56/my-build-revealed-long-story-pics-%3D56k-ftl-494467/

Are you F*&%ing serious? The reason we are not answering your questions is because there are too many variables. Are you staying OBD2B or going OBD1? Is your car auto or manual because that effects your ecu options. The H23A Vtech is similar to the H22's but has some major differences including the fact there is no stock ECU out there that will work for that engine properly in a manual because they all came with a tip-tronic auto. Basically what I am saying is you will probably have to convert OBD1 and buy a chipped ECU and when you do that you will have to use an OBD1 distributor because that is how it will run the best. If you don't care about how well the engine runs just stay OBD2 and use your stock harness with a 96+ Prelude H22 ECU which will run an H23A just not that well. Either way the F22 ecu is not an option in reality. Do some homework man because we can't do it all for you.
