Thanks so much for this wonderful write-up. It has probably saved numerous people hundreds of dollars in shop fees. It has taught me a lot about how my bearing and hub works.

My question: You already have the bearing pressed onto the hub. Is it necessary to remove the knuckle? Can't you get to four bolts holding the old hub/bearing in place without removing the knuckle?

Rotors, brakes and bearings.

Just bought my 99 3.0 CL with 150K and brake pads look fine. I'm saving this for the future though----no way of knowing whether the bearings were replaced. The whole procedure and photos were well written.

Nice write up. Now I remember why I did the ROH conversion, all that work to get to the rotors..

Thanks for all the comments, it's been a while since I've checked on this thread... I've traded in my CL about 3 years ago.
