ZEX or NOS

Who has NOS? I am trying to figure out what is the best solution for this. I hear that a person can run NOS if they do not over do it. How safe is NOS for motors? I know it burns like 10 times hotter, so on a stock motor it will blow heads and various other internals that can not support the high heat. Any takers?

I have a ZEX nitrous kit and I love it. No problems at all. Install the zex spark plugs and you'll be ok.

NOS is a brand name for a company that makes 1 particular kit out on the market. Ever since Fast and the Furious everyone calls it NOS.

NOS, NX and ZEX all make excellent kits. It's really just a matter of not going with too much and supplying the right amount of fuel. My recommendation is to stay at or under 75 shot cause I'm sure you don't want to burn holes in your pistons. ZEX is good cause of the ease of install and NOS and NX are trusted names that make quality kits. If you are serious about it be sure to get plugs that are 1 to 2 heat ranges colder than stock, it'll keep your engine together longer and from burning up.
By the way your engine acctually runs cooler do to the increase in fuel, it's when the kit is setup wrong does it run hot. ie not enough gas-o-line.

nos solenoids are small and seize up a lot.. if you look at a nx and nos solenoid.. its a huge difference in size too..

Too bad you can't look at a ZEX solenoid.

Yeah but it looks so much nicer when you open up a hood and you don't have wires and solenoids all over the place. And the install is cake. Heres a pretty old pic but you get the idea. The solenoids are grouped toghter in the little purple box in the back, along with zex nmu.
