WTB: Accord V6 ECU
ok guys, I'm planning on eventually getting a dr evil tranny, or figuring out a way to swap in a manual if my tranny dies. seems fine now, but it's always nice to plan ahead.
anyways, I was told that the dr evil only works for a honda accord due to the trannies being different. So I figured since it was the same engine then if I simply replaced the acura CL ecu with a honda accord one then the dr evil tranny would bolt right up. it might need some slight alteration in wiring since there is apparently an additional solenoid inside the tranny, but not exactly sure. First step though is finding an ECU. can anybody help me out? I've looked on ebay and notheing yet. anywhere else I can find one new or used?
thanks in advacen guys. you always pull through somehow.

Well I think the difference is not in the ECU, but the way the tranny mounts. The CL shares the engine with the AV6 Accord, but it's on an older chassis. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

No one tried this swap yet, so there is really no info if it will work or not. So if you got the $$, go ahead and try it out. I've compared my 97 3.0 to my friends 99av6. The mounting points are the close, if not the same.
