wierd window prob.
ok check this out. my driver side window rolls up really slow if at all. now i know its my regulator and/or motor. but heres the wierd part. right after it rains or i wash it, for about 3 hours the window rolls up REALLY fast. i mean from top to bottom in about a second maybe less. its smooth and not shaky at all. so......wtf.

I have noticed this as well. It does sound like your regulator is going, but you also need to lube the tracks that the window slides up and down on. Use some silicon or some sort of grease or lube, and it'll move a lot easier. I had them lube my tracks when i got my regulator replaced, because they agreed with me that it was still sluggish. The water helps reduce the friction, that's how u know u need some lube.

i think its because when you wash or it rains, it in sense lubes up the window tracks. Then when it warms up again and the water evaps, youre stuck with a slow window again. Mines about to die. I ordered a new rgulator on ebay for $50 and it should be here tomorrow. So guess what i'm doing tomorrow

It happens to me all the time... the window is too tight up against the back pillar that it runs along... if anything that is what causes the regulator to go cuz it's workin so hard to roll up... I hate it! If you look at the pillar, you will see the pressure marks the window leaves on it from rubbing too hard against it.
The rain does act as a lube... I spray some silicone spray every so often to keep it rollin up smotthly, you should do the same and save the money on the regulator.
At least you can do something before it's too late, I had to replace the regulator before I figured that one out.

Spray the silicone against the back pillar. This is the only pillar that the window slides up against.
It wouldn't hurt to spray all around the rest of the rubber insulation on the window as well; it helps to keep the rubber looking new and from cracking due to age and the elements

ive already replaced it once this is the second time around. but last time when it went, it WENT. when i pushed the up button it wouldnt go up at all. then i pushed the down button a little and the window dropped like a rock. that sucked so bad. my uncle did mine for 110. wasnt too bad.
oh and thanks jigz ill give that a shot. itll be better than another 110 bc i dont like getting into electrical shit. bad memories.

i just installed mine tonight. I lost my one touch down but oh well, at least it actually rolls up. Id def reccomend everyone to shell out $50 and do it yourself as opposed to payout out the ass at the dealers. The DIY was such a great help to me
