Wierd Ass Shifting W/ 3.0
So im driving home from school today and im going about 35mph in the neighborhood and im at about 1500RPM id say...so i slam on the gas until i hit 2500 rpms and let off the gas and the car DOWNSHIFTS the RPMs shoot up to 3500 and then front of the car dives down and lunges forward!!! I was like WTF!?! So i try it again and again...it does this everytime! What the heck is it doin this for!?! Weird!
(i mean i guess if you slam on the gas it downshifts to get the rpms higher so u can take off faster but its kinda wierd that after u let off the gas it still does it...lol...wonder if this is bad for the CL? Kinda funny though...oh well...)
Just thought i'd be stupid and post this cuz i thought it was fun to do...lol

i was racing a rsx the other day and i was at ike 2.5 rpm and i gased it hard and it did a slight pause and then it jumped to 6rpm. it had a big ol boost. i got scared i was like oh no my car is gonna blow! i thought that was weird too

its an automatic, why would you want a jerky feeling?

I have had my 3.0 cl for 2 months(only has 37,k) and the transmission is possesed, It has done all these things described in this post.
When costing from 40 mph it will downshift abrutly what feels like into 2nd gear and sometimes when I lightly press on the gas cruising at 40 mph It will harshly down shift to 2nd as If I said "Turbo boost K.I.T." and take off.
At what point do I decide or others, to take it to the dealer to be looked at?

" The Grad Logic Control System helps Civic's automatic transmission "think" and shift like a driver shifting a manual transmission. Going uphill, Grade Logic downshifts to help eliminate "gear hunting", or repeatedly shifting up and down, which can occur in other automatics. When traveling downhill, grade logic downshifts to provide an engine braking effect, giving you more vehicle control."
This is what moforose3.0 experienced. All this should be explained in your owners' manual. You people just need to take the time to read your manuals. There is a lot of useful info in there. Although this is from a civic brochure it is the same thing for all Honda/Acura cars with automatic trannies.

Dude Who recomended to read the maual I already did. I know what Grade logic control is but I dont think the intention was to drop down or upshift 2 gears and abruptly buck the driver and passangers back and forth as if I was just droping the clutch.
