The lever near the armrest is the lumbar control. He is talking about the little downward facing hook-like lever near the door.

speaking of the lumbar control, i think it works like a pump. pump it 3 times to fill it up fully and the 4th time to release. i think

also we have memory seats. it only distinguishes between shorter people and taller people.. no pos. 1 or pos. 2 switch.. the lady that owned my car before me must have been a midget cause if i dont let my seat snail its way all the way back before i get in, and i sit down it goes back to short shit mode and tries to break my knees against the steering wheel.

Are you saying that you never moved the drivers seat before today?

Sometimes my seat doesn't completely reset to where I had it. Thought it was a defect.

I think it's cause if it detects something in it's path it automaticly stops so it doesn't brake anything. Makes me want those 8 way power seats.

It's only for the driver seat. Passanger has no power at all which sucks cause the old G20's had them.

Standard on the 3.0CL is an 8-way power driver's seat that adds power recline. The 3.0CL includes a newly developed power walk-in feature, which automatically glides the seat to a forward position when the seatback release lever is raised and the seat back is tilted forward. When the seatback is moved back, the seat automatically glides to its original position. Created in the U.S., this system offers the world's first "fast-forward" mechanism, which glides the seat forward more quickly than previous walk-in seat designs. Also, the system is designed to be failsafe. The walk-in feature will not operate, for instance, if the door is closed. In addition, the seat includes the world's first "autoposition stop" feature. If the seat senses an object while moving rearward, it will automatically stop and then move 30mm forward.

I can't believe that you never moved your seat for 4 years, it also has a memory and goes back to the same location that you started with.

No doubt about it....

Oh, and if you are luck, when you push the seat back, it moves to the place it was before you pulled the lever.

The big hang up

I find if you grab the seatbelt lower than if you reach over your shoulder it doesn't hang up as much. That is probably the only dissapointment I have with my 98 CL.
