wheel / rim dillema for RH C5 owners!

okay guys, first off I was originally planning to get 17s I mean Im no baller, but to be practical as well, for the cost of the tires sake. However I came across a deal on these 18" RH C5. I am going to purchase them, however my question is, do 18s really slow you down that much? and someone mentioned to me that they reduce your gas mileage efficiency cause you drag more? anyone with experience on these?

***lastly, one rim has a bend in them, just enough to not hold air, anyone know how much this is to fix? I am located in socal so if anyone has any sugggestions of a good shop let me know. Also if you think that bend is going to effect the structural integrity of the rim, let me know, cause then I am going to just pass them up. thanks again to any suggestions.

Cant get much slower than a 16sec car. Personally, I have 18" c5's and the car feels the same to me.

true, im not soo much worried about the speed but I do want my gas mileage... shoot this past weekend I drove all the way up to the bay on one tank... 386 miles to be exact.... thats by far one of the best I have seen, so with my new 18s I don't want to be dealing with compromised gas mileage if it does make a big difference

Rims will cost anywhere from 75 - 120 ro repair the bend. There is a shop in Costa Mesa, California that will fix the rims. It is call Advanced Wheel Repair. They do alot of work for the local rim shops when they take wheels in on consignment. They will even be able to fix cracked rims.
