Wheel Max Sucks!

To start with, the people answering the phones (when they actually answer) are assholes that dont know shit!! They have the worst attitude in the world!!

And they got my rims wrong (17" Enkei Inazuma), 2 of the rims are the wrong bolt pattern!! I was gonna put them on the car today, but I couldnt... 2 rims were 4 X 4.5" (the right size) and the other 2 were 4 x 4.25" (civic/integra size). I was fukin torqued when i realized this!!

Just thought i'd let some people know. I'm getting my next set from tires.com... Free shipping, friendly, knowledgable customer service and free mounting and balancing!! cant beat that!!

I agree with this....when I purchased my rims from them it was ok...but now there are a lot of people complaining. My friend just got his rims from them (I recommended wheelmax to him). When we went to get the rims we had a flyer with the rims that my friend wanted for $699 rims + tires. The guy didn't want to honor the special and started giving us all this BS of why he wouldn't honor it (we knew he was lying cuz of how confused he was) so, my friend's wife told the guy that she was gonna take him to court b/c of false advertising (something like that) so, the guy ended up selling the rims.

I don't recommend them anymore......:thumbsdn: :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn:

Actually, my boss had just ordered rims and tires from wheelmax. From reading previous member's experiences, I told him to ask if the wheels he was ordering were in stock. If they were, order them. If not, don't. They had everything in stock and he placed to order. Received them about as fast a UPS ground could have. Packaged pretty darn good too. Everything was satisfactory.

yeah, the lugs suck too... they strip out... the key is too short... and they rust...

I had to drill out one of my wheel studs to get one of the wheels off because the lug stretched out and I couldnt get anything in it to turn it!!

And they CHARGE for these... like $20!!
Tires.com gives you GOOD ones for FREE!

This was like 2 weeks ago... I just thought i'd add because this thread got brought back up.

i too, do not recommend wheelmax.com. i ordered a set of bsa 259 wheels from them in hyper silver because the wheels look so pretty on clxtreme's cl. a couple days after my order, i got a call from wheelmax wanting more money because of the finish on the wheels. originally they want 110 for shipping + 60 for mounting and balancing. but i told them to forget it, so they took the 60 dollar off, but when the wheel about to be shipped out, they call wanting 50 dollars more for the finish after we have finalized the transaction and my cc was charged. i finally canceled the order and request for a refund.

I had a GREAT experience with them... mid-summer 2001!

1. always answred the phone... if they didnt know something they would call me back!!!

2. called me to give me updates on my order, shipping, etc...

3. swapped out package wheels (toyo all-season) for toyo t1-s tires.... only $100.00 more ($400 difference)...

4. Said Id have my wheels on a monday... had them shipped to me on the prior friday!

5. sent me the RIM boxes along with the mounted wheels and tires for rim storage without rubber!

Myabe I was lucky or maybe they were just better last year!
