I had a rear wheel come off my car while I was doing 60 down a highway. I look out my drivers window and theres a wheel rolling next to me. I was like WTF that's MY wheel rolling next to me! I never even felt it come off. Turns out when I had rims put on the shop put the wrong style lugs on it.

that's just horrible that they used the wrong lugs. I can't imagine seeing my wheel rolling next to me, that must have been some crazy shit.

I saw the funniest shit this morning, made my morning. I laughed all the way into work. I came to the T intersection in front of my house, across from me was this 18 or so year old hick kid, who was a volunteer fireman, with a HUGE lift kit, and monster truck wheels on his red dodge ram. The wheels stuck out twice as far from his fender, even with fender flares. I looked at the truck, (which looked hideous) thinking "I wonder how he passed inspection" since I just had to put my amber corners, and stock headlight bulbs in, etc, just to pass. So he makes the turn in front of me, Starts heading down the hill, I turn after him, I hear a snap, and his front driver side monster truck wheel comes flying off, rips off his fender flare, rolls forward, crosses across the front of his truck rolling the whole time, goes 4 house yards ahead, crashes through a fence, and rolls another yard or 2 before finally turning down hill into the trees. I laughed so hard all the way to work. I was the only one who saw the wheel actually fly off and go like 6 yards ahead, crashing through a fence in the process. It was like something out of a movie. And of course, soon as it happened, I drove by and saw him with his dumbfounded look on his face, flip on his blue volunteer firefighter lights. It was classic, I would have stopped if I wasn't laughing so hard, and wasn't on my way to work, but I figured all his fire fighter buddies would be along shortly. I hope he didn't tip the truck when he went to get out on that side. He had an auto detailer ad across his back windshield, which I'd imagine is the only way he passed inspection, cuz he knew someone. Plus of course, he had the confederate flag decal also on the back windshield. It was just too funny, don't feel too bad about loosing your wheel, I think his broke all his studs off on the way off.

That is the craziest shit I've hear, and yes, vultures are waiting, but think about it, It surely was not the car's fault. I bet money that if you fail to tighten the lug nuts on a McCarin F1, the wheel will roll away. Just out of curiocity, did it lose the whell at the lugs, or did the hub come off? Sorry to hear about your troubles, but wow that is fucked up.

I don't know if they warned you, but when I got my tires replaced at the Wheel Rack, they had a disclaimer on the receipt saying that you should re-torque the wheels after a certain number of days or some shit.

that must be them new kinda spinners. where the whole keeps spinnin even if you stop. sorry but anyway. something similar to this happened to my friend dave in his 99 accord coupe. on his though the ball joint on his rear control arm?(i think) came loose and his rear wheel turned sideways and the rear end of his car was hopping up and down. he had his whole kit molded and it fucked all of it up. he had to replace his fenders and rear bumper. he sued the guy that did his drop and camber and got new wheels(falken something), tires for 10 years(azenis), vis octane(R34) kit, new C/F hood, new taillights, and a new spoiler. so afterwards he was happy.
