What's this noise?

What's this noise?
There is a squealing noise coming from under my hood on the passenger side, which seems may be originating near my timing belt.
It sounds very obvious that whatever making the noise is in constant motion, like the timing belt or something in that area.
Does that sound like it would be the timing belt?
If so, any idea how much that costs to replace?
Also, my transmission is definitely dying. Could the noise I'm hearing have to do with this?
When a transmission dies, does the car just not change gears?
If I'm driving down the road and it decides to crap out, am I going to be stuck in the middle of the road?
Thanks for any help

i had the same thing happen to me. Check your hood. you may need to unbolt the hood latch, then push it down more, then tighten it. this help my issue. Also try bolting the bumper on better / retighting the bolts. A loose bumper bolt will cause mice like skweeking. I have a blown strut, so i get the ocasional skqweek from them too.

how handsome I am
im assuming this is a 3.0... meaning the belts would be on the passenger side of the car...
when was the last time you had the car checked out? I'd take a look at those belts and make sure that they're still in good condition.

Or just get some belt dressing and see if that quiets the squealing.

could the the fan bearing going out. which is common.

there was a squirrel cage fan behind/under my glove box that squealed for a while, but it hasnt really done it for a while. i have no idea what that fan does, but if that motor burnt out, i wonder if it could have something do do with it?
the noise is definitely coming from somewhere around those belts, i just cant tell from exactly where
also, there is a ticking coming from this line that runs from some black tank (i no nothing about cars) running to this part i circled in red. the tank wasnt in this picture, so that's what the big red thing is.
any idea what this is, and is it normal?
