What's the difference between a 3.0, 2.3, 2.2 exhaust?

i looked up HKS exhaust for the CL. but the only thing i came cross was the Super Drager but it was only for the 2.2 or 2.3.
so these exhaust will not fit a 3.0?

thanks in advance,

since 2.2/2.3 is a 4 cyl, and the 3.0 is a V6 the piping is going to be a lot different from header to cat..

If you put in a thicker piping do you get more horsepower and a throatier noise. How much would it cost tod do that.

thicker?? you mean larger diamter, yes, it loosens the air through thus less restriction, but i wouldnt go larger than 2 3/4 then you will lose backpressure, unless youre running FI..

ah, didnt know about this. i just thought the bigger the diameter the better the exhaust. wat does back pressure do?

you want less back pressure, but not too much...anything over 2 3/4 is only good for forced induction, or else you will lose horsepower...a turbo/supercharger requires more air, and will expell more air, thus wanting to have a larger diameter piping, but if u have that for a Naturally Aspirated engine, you will expell too much air, and lose power..
