I started putting a/m headlights in the car in May of 2002. Since then I've got through four pair of hyperwhite style headlights... does anyone have any suggestions on what will last longer...or how to fix the problem?
thanks

I just installed a projectot setup and its bad ass.
What Always Dirty said is 100% correct, make sure not to touch the glass. If you haven't been touching the glass, maybe you are buying shitty quality. If so, buy something better, like silverstars, or buy something that runs on less wattage, lots of aftermarkets run real high.

Go with real HIDs or use PIAA bulbs. PIAA have lasted waaaayyyyyy longer than any other bulb I've put in (except for HIDs). ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I've had PIAA Extreme Whites in my fog lights for over a year (and still going strong). Prior to that, I got maybe 3 months out of other brands. :thumbsdn:

Yea HIDs will run you around 400 or so but they last much longer then regular halogen bulbs and a heck of a lot longer than superwhites. It isnt unusual for superwhites to blow monthly especially if they are higher then stock wattage

I tried 80W Sylvania HB's in my car and they blew the first time I flipped the switch. Wen to 55W of same bulb and they've been burning bright for almost a year now. Don't overload the curcuit is my advice... heat is the enemy here.
