What kind of primer should I use?

I plan to paint my grill the same color as my car. I had a body shop mix the paint up for me to where all I would have to do is just spray it on there. The body shop refused to do it because it was plastic and they didn't want to wet sand in between each slit of the grill ('98 grill by the way...). I want to do it myself, but I'm not sure what primer is best to use on the plastic. I want to get one that works, because I would hate to see it start cracking and looking all ghetto and $h!t.
