What are the grille options for a First Gen. CL?

I have the factory gold grille on my front end, and i want to change it. Are there any aftermarket grilles?

When i used to have my VW, the dealership sold small cans of color-matched paint. Does acura sell similar paint? I might just want to colormatch the grille to my car, and paint the emblems gunmetal.

Thanks for the help.

that sounds like a good idea... but there really isnt any aftermarket support for our grilles.. except for when ronjon was making the 200$ grille. It was pretty hot, but damn expensive!

sorry.

i did the exact mod youre talking about. I painted my grill body color/black and my emblems black as well. I took my paint code to a paint shop and had them mix me a spray can or my cars color

You can get cans of stock honda paint from an auto parts store. I got mine from pep boys. The idea sounds pretty good. There have been a few after market grills but like alex said, they're from $200-350. You're better off just making your own. I'm putting a mesh in mine, but I may end up painting it later like klepto if I get sick of that look.

There are 2 or 3 different AM grills offered, but as I mentioned, they range from $200-350. That's why I'm custom making my own grill for about $20-30

after market Ronjon's grill, there's also the $350 billet grill that some dude has been trying to sell on ebay. Not worth $350 though.

Thanks for the help guys.

I think i'm going to sand down the gold grille, prime it, then spray it with some color matched paint.

I'll paint the emblems gunmetal separately, and then re-attach them. pics to come soon.
