I am picking up these rims today or tomorrow for my '97 Black 3.0...in a 18" w/ Toyo Proxes......what do you guys think?

i'm not a fan at all of chrome, but they look okay if that's what you are into. They look like they belong on a SUV or benz not on a CL IMO. But everyone has there tastes, I know a bunch of people hate my rims.

 

They look kinda like Lowenharts. They will prob. look decent on a black CL, thats about it. I like the look of lowenharts on a black CL though, soe people hae them, like ghander. Def take pics when your installed...

 

i think they are nasty.. but thats just me!!

 

They are a bit too much for my taste... I like 'em thinner.

 

You asked us what we think....Im not a fan of them at all...but its your money and your car.

 

ewwww chrome! you could get much better ones in chrome but if thats what you like then its all you!

Whatever katie you also say that a 2 inch drop is "slammed". I can get 2.25 inches of springs. LOL. Dont listen to her superj get some nicer rims not ricer rims.

 

BIG CHROME WHEELS are the SHIT! The only thing I don't really like are the rivots but their small. They do look like the lowenharts but those wheels are the shit.

um...A23CL...last i checked this wasnt a post about whether or not my car was slammed. Jason asked us to post about his rims, so i did.

I would like to know why u dragged my car into this conversation...I said nothing negative to or about you..so where the fuck do you get off insulting my ride? you can say anything u want about what i think about those wheels...but when u start talking shit about my car, thats when i get defensive.

and for your information..a 2 inch drop is slammed...when i can barely fit 1 finger inbetween the wheel and fender well...i consider that slammed...

honestly I think they would look alright if you slam your car.... but they do look like a lowenhart knock off.. are they really chrome or is it a paint..... and how much are u paying... these are all what you need to take into consideration...

 

Like I said they would look alright... I've seen what they look like on second gens and they are fucking smooth..

One other thing... I would listen to Katie.. because their is 2 different reason's why you want these rims...

1. You want to be proud of your car.
2. You want to impress the ladies.. (You just got a girl to jock)

Also depends on what type of girls you wanna impress. But if you're overly concerned, buy a bimmer.

 

The girlies seem to turn there heads alot at my Red CL. But once you get a Bimmer, herpes come along with it. I gotta agree with Rice on that one

Yes, they are really chrome and I am getting a sweet deal........Anyway....I appreciate all of your honesty....but I love these rims, I put them on last nite and the shit looks soooooo tight...I will post some pics hopefully tomorrow......btw- thanks for the props Katie!!!
