Yes, you could definately paint them, but why would you? 
I have seen some sweet c/f jobs with colored metal flake in the clear coat over the c/f hood, that look hard, but i wouldn't spend the money for a sexy hood, then paint it

Alright, bc im interested in losin the weight and swappin some stuff to cf, but i dont want to ruin the outside appearance of my car... i didn't know if how it came was the only option or not... Thanks for the input guys
