In a dry setup which is safer, the nitrous is shot into your intake tubing. This does not allow for a huge shot though and anything over 100 shot on a dry setup is pushing it. What happens if you have a larger shot going into your intake is that there might be a chance that one of your cylinders can get more nitrous than another which could detonation or other damage.

For a larger shot you use a wet set up which is you drill holes on your intake manifold one for each cylinder that you have in your car. That way the nitrous is shot into each cylinder and each will get an equal amount of nitrous. But since your adding nitrous straight into the manifold you also have another solenoid to add more fuel while you are shotting. Its gets a little tricky on the wet setup having the right air fuel mixture to nitrous and makes it harder to use than a dry setup which uses the fuel pressure regulator to add more fuel while you are shotting nitrous.

Check out www.n2o.org it will answer all of your questions on nitrous.

even better..

The "dry" system uses the factory fuel injection to enrich the nitrous introduced into the engine. The flaw with this technology is that no matter how much nitrous arrives at a certain intake port it always gets the same preset amount of fuel, or if a fuel injector becomes clogged engine damage will result. The "Wet" technology introduces a precise amount of fuel and nitrous through a high tech mixing nozzle that atomizes the fuel to microscopic proportions. This allows every cylinder to receive a precise, homogenous mixture of fuel and nitrous, thus insuring a safe, powerful increase.

it doesn't matter where it is sprayed into the engine.. and wet is safer, despite what you say

Yeah me too, oh wait, I don't have nitrous. From what it sounds like, I may have to go with F0de anyway

wet is safer, but also leaves more room for errors. Dry is best for beginners

wt atomizes the gas with every shot of nitrous it shoots, and mixes it before it get to your throttle body so you keep a correct A/F ratio the entire time.. its safer either way

I would like to go with like a 55 shot. Which setup would you guys recomend?? Zex? Venom? NOS??
What is the price difference between Wet and Dry?

All I have is an Intake. Would NOT having exhaust negate the purpose of the Nitrous at all?? Meaning, would it work better together or is there not that big of a difference? Then is it going to be neccessary for the VERY expensive headers??

i'd personally recommend Nitrous Express, the kit runs around 500 bucks.. and youll want a few accories like a bottle heater, gauge, and a purge valve.. so figure a few hundred more.. its a wet shot, and works wonders.. throw a 75 shot on to be safe

I am trying to understand how "wet" works. You said that I would have to drill a whole in my intake manifold for each cylinder of the car? Is it easy to do? I am sure I would be able to do it myself with directions.. What about when I sell my car, I would need to get my hands on another intake manifold, right? Is a 75 shot going to be a threat to my motor, tranny, etc?

I believe that with the NX kit, you mount two nozzles in the coupling that connects your intake to you intake manifold. I'm not sure how it would mount onto a stock intake. So, you wouldn't have to worry about a manifold.

I think drilling into your intake manifold is called direct port.

cilvers got it half right.. you put a whole in your rubber intake.. kinda near the throttle body, and put a shark nozzel in it.. which is basically a Y fitting that mixes fuel and nitrous.... direct port is taping into your manifold 4 times for a 4 cylinder.. and 6 for a 6.. so on
