Wet Air Filter Problem

Discovered a soaking wet air filter when I took the car to Oil Can Henry's. Had been wet awhile as there was mildew. Anyways, I took it to my mechanic and will have to take it back as he said he has to take apart some assembly to figure out where the crack is (assuming).

Anyone ever have this problem?

Is it a stock airbox or do you have a cold air intake?

*EDIT* NEVER EVER EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO OILCAN HENRY'S!!! THEY DON'T EVEN CHANGE THE OIL!!! Then they say your engine is so dirty that it contaminates your new oil. But they can fix that with an engine flush.

Or just do it your self to be one with your car. Seriously, it takes 10 minutes, and you get a cahnce to take a look at possible problems, blah, blah, etc.
Makes me feel important and mechanically inclined.

It's stock. The mechanic thinks he can fix any crack with some epoxy stuff.

I'll keep that in mind if it doesn't work.

Turned out to be some blocked drain holes which had about 2 inches of standing water.

Cheap fix.

Any time your car gets wet, look for the four water blots. And when your a/c runs, look for the water drain-off... Heard of water raining on front-seat passengers. When I get my oil changed, I'm right there under the shit with my bro.
