So picked up an 03 mdx wheel on ebay and installed it a couple days ago. It looks very similar to the CL wheel. I couldn't tell any differences before I installed it except for the part that has perforated leather. I installed it and it fits into the column fine and what not but the volume control and cruise control buttons from the CL will not bolt into the MDX wheel cause the MDX screws are supposed to be smaller and wider apart. I was kindof willing to leave with out them so I moved on to the airbag. I try to install it and realize while it fits into the space between the wheel fine the wheel doesn't have the holes where the airbag is supposed to screw into. So now I'm rolling with the new wheel with not controls or airbag and a bunch electrical wires hangin out in the middle. I looked on eBay and they want at least $500 for one. FUCK THAT! I'm thinking of checking the local u-pull-it places to see what they have. It' probably gonna find a MDX in those places that haven't had their airbags deployed though.

That said I do really like this wheel it matches the interior perfectly, better than CL grey-blue-green wheel did. do you think that if I got an MDX steering wheel that it would match up with the CL and plug into it's electrical wires? Probably not cause every car is made different which makes no sense to me.

whatever year it is, it's not the right one cause it doesn't fit.

for clarification, it fits on the steering column fine it's just the 98 CL airbag and controls dont fit the wheel

That looks right, but the MDX was changed a bit in 2003. If your 98 steering wheel controls don't fit, then it's definitely different, my 2001 CL-S wheel took the 98 wheel controls perfectly, as well as a 98+ airbag
