Weaving ticket?

I was with my mom the other day when she changed lanes (two lanes on each side) went around someone and then changed back to her original lane. She was pulled over by a motorcycle cop who said she was weaving. She asked about it and he said she changed lanes to get in front of someone. My mom asked if she was speeding, used her turn signals, and how many times she weaved around cars. he said it was one car, used blinkers correctly, and did not exceed the speed limit. At this point she was pissed with the guy who made us wait for no apparent reason and gave her a ticket. Its not like she was drunk or something it was 12 in the afternoon and she was in a minivan of all things. Is this BS or a real ticketable offense cause i do it all the time? thanks guys

I think the officer was being a dick, and she should go to court to get it dismissed.

Passing on the right is a funny thing, I do it all the time on 3lane highways, but passing on the right when someone is making a left is more common. Even the police do it.

thats the thing she passed on the left. She might have been able to get out of it but she was having a bad day and was getting mad when he was just standing there doing nothing. Longest ticket in the world She got out cause it was hot, he told her to get back in so she started teh car for the air cause it was hot, he called for backup and told her she had to turn the car off haha

that sounds BS plead not guilty and ask for a trial

you shold be able to get out of it, she has a witness, you, so that helps, explain the situation sicne it was only one car it can be changing lanes, due to that fact the car was not going the posted limit for the road

fight that shit man you can win

if she didnt speed than the guy in fron was driving too slow, he need pull that foo over. Its not illegal to get in front of a car thats moving too slow, its recommended.

It's called the speed LIMIT, not the speed requirement. It's only illegal to go slow if you're on a highway and a sign says "minimum speed xx" and you go below that.

Fight the ticket like they said ask for a trial and it should be dropped. With a witness and they cops tetimony who would uphold that BS.

I mainly pass on the right because people can't figure out that slowest traffic belongs in the rightmost lane.

Cutting people off is generally not cool.. it bothers me more than people who weave around me, I mean as long as cars leave me some space weaving doesn't bother me all that much.

From reading the original description of what happened, it sounds like more of a case of following too closely. It's supposed to be three car lengths between cars but if the road is really busy that's kind of out the window, it becomes impossible.

NOt true, cops could still give u a ticket for driving too slow on the highway because it's unsafe. Trust me, my cousin got pulled over for that.
