Want to remove the air deflector for moonroof - easiest way?

Hello again all!

My "new" 97 cl came with a goofy looking air deflector on the roof for the moonroof, I want to remove it because it looks awkward, I don't want to just yank on it- so whats the easiest way to pull it off without leaving too much tape goo behind, and not wrecking the paint?

I have access to a heat gun, but i dunno if that would make the situation worse?

heat gun will help, just be carefull so you dont scorch the paint/clear coat. Other than that some strong fishing line will help... "Goo Gone" to remove the excess glue and the edge of an old CD works nice as a scraper that dosent damage the clear coat.

Yea, its commonly used for removing emblems and such... anything with that foam tape it works great. Same idea as removing a windshield.
