Hi, previous owner has promised me the manual for my 1999 2.3 but still hasn't come thru. Got some friends coming over in a bit to help with some maintenance items and I thought I would change the oil while they were here. Problem is, I have no idea how much to add (quart wise). Think I will put Vavoline Max Life 5W30, based on some recommendations on this thread. Just need to know how much to buy.

Also, I read about some gasket at the drain plug. Hopefully I can reuse the one on there (if it still is). Wont have time to pick that up probably.

 

Google should be able to tell you, I know my 3.0 is 4 1/2 quarts

 

somebody told me my car can take 5 quarts and i to have a 99 cl 2.3

Hi thanks for info guys. Got the oil changed, rack and pinion installed, outer tie rod ends and even a string alignment. Now just to order new tires and plugs and a real alignment.

 

i have a 98 2.3 cl i use 4 quarts of 10w-40 ..but deff check with the dip stick
