Turbo Question
I'm looking at getting a turbo by next spring and was wondering if i'm going to have any problems getting it to pass the tedious NJ emissions tests. Is there anything to look for when purchasing a turbo? Am i going to have to relocate anything (Battery, Wires, Hoses)? Thanks for the info ahead of time.

This guy disappeared from the form, but go to turbo on his site here http://home.insightbb.com/~niedejb/ . There are some hard lines that will have to be replaced with hose. There is one bracket that has to be bent, I believe it is called a power steering coil. Battery stays where it is. Also, the AC compressor hard line has to be removed, which means no more AC, and the downpipe has to be extended.
As far as emissions, as long as your wastegate is attached to your downpipe and you keep the OBDII ECU, you should be fine. Worst case you can take the wastegate spring out and bypass the turbo, you will be slow as hell though with all the piping.

actually with the fmax/drag/maxrev kits you will be able to keep all of the things you have now (a/c p/s) you only have minor alterations to the a/c line... what i did on ly first turbo kit that i had on the f23 motor was just put a small dent in the downpipe to clear the a/c line...yaea i know it sounds getto but he it worked
as far as emission xrunner86x was right as long as the wastegates dumptube is attached to the down pipe before the cat and you are still running the obd2 ecu you should be fine
