Tune-up / clean-up

So i was going to do some little tune-up things to my car and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.

I'm doing the following already:
1: New Spark Plugs (any recommendations?)
2: New fuel filter
3: Clean injectors (anyone have any tips?)
4: New filter

I just bought my car a few weeks ago and i just wanted to go ahead and do this since i'm sure its never been done before...

If anyone has any other little things that would help my car run a little bit better i would greatly appreciate it. Also, i'm not exactly sure how to clean fuel injectors, so if somebody could link me to a DIY i would really appreciate it.

P.S. What are the absolute best spark plugs to get??

about the plugs...if you have no mods...go stock... ngk vpower (about 2 bucks)

or if you want to spend the $ ngk irridium... search http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/

stay a way from bosch plats... dont know about the +2 and +4 plats

use seafoam.....and search for it....everything is there...

check tranny fluid...replace if needed..

maybe timing belt depending on miles....
-get a shop to do it...dealers like to rape...avoid them unless your into it..
and replace the water pump..its not required but its preventative maintenance

got mine done around 230 for belts and pump

what he means by preventative maintehance is the timing belt has to be removed to change the waterpump, so mine as well change it while ur in there. oh yea as for spark plugs dont get the bosch platinum's. they work great but theyeve been known to have fitment problems with plug wires.

also about the bosch plugs...not good for cars that burn oil...my old saturn

also had problems with the cl...idled rough and performance loss...cause i tried to save $

used them for a couple of days...bought ngk vpower $8(4) cleared that up

about the timing belt....what i meant about preventative maintenance is since you did not specify how many miles you got...a timing belt is good to change around 90,xxx (will vary)

if it snaps....i can cause a whole lotta trouble...and cost you some $$$

i changed mine at 150,xxx and i dont think it was done before...so i did as soon as possible

i went to a new pop and son shop...total 240

My car has 145k miles and the timing belt hasnt been replaced. Actually, the only thing that has needed replacing on the car was the exhaust because it rusted, everything else is still what came on it.

i would consider timing belt replacement....no telling when it can go.....

if it snaps there is a possibility that it can bend and ruin your valves...

what i did...i took my car to honda for a tranny fluid change $40 and they checked out the car for me...tire tread, suspension check, etc. quoted 625 for timing belt(only)..

hit up some mom&pop shops
