Transmission thread (yea another one!)

So I was driving around in d3 for months, and recently (2 weeks ago) went back to driving in d4. I noticed a big difference from the occasional downshifts. Is it common for the trasmission to downshift sudden and harsh in d4, rather then d3? Alot of times I give it gas, and then get off the gas cause of city traffic and the tranny seems to downshift right down real jolty. What's going on? Keep in mind I'm on a 2nd rebuilt transmission if that makes any difference...I brought it to the shop about a week ago, and my luck it doesnt do anything I'm talking about, and the guy says it's fine.

Also I noticed when I put the car into reverse the car jolts, does this happen to anyone else?

And when, where, how do you guys check the tranny fluid? I freakin have asked this a 100 times, but for some reason everytime I check it the fluid is at a different level. Sometimes I check it and its 1/2 way up the dipstick, sometimes its way over full. I'm guessing I'm on different elevations each time?

I've been letting the car run for 5 min, turn it off and then checking, is that what you guys do? Or do you drive around for 5 min, and then check it?

I was really trying to baby it, but fugg it imma just drive it, something happens something happens.

drive for a while. park on level ground check dipstick. i know on the 4 cyl accords they have a problem with with the lock up solenoid. i dont think thats your problem. i dont think you have a problem.. the harshness your feelin is it prolly going into overdrive and out of overdrive at a speed thats too slow. if it bangs going into reverse that sounds like someone didnt shimm your differential. nothing too important to worry about, but if its under warranty take it in. they can check the differential clearences with out removing the tranny.

wassup! yo wilp the thing is i brought it to the shop that fixed it (not my choice of shops) because the warranty paid for it 1.5 yrs ago. Both warranties are up (aftermarket warranty and rebuild warranty) and the guy's just seem like assclowns. I mean they are really nice and went with me for a drive, but seem way too laid back and kinda clueless. But yet they rebuild them all day long. He says it all seems normal but it's just weird cause it didn't always shift this way...

but ya whats your aim name? tampa is about 3.5-4hr max from coral springs, and i would definitely like you to check it out cause you seem like a tranny genius, or atleast just as knowledgable as any rebuild guy

maybe we can arrange to meet up? I'm down for the drive, or maybe you could come here we are having a big south florida meet soon...either way...I got 3 friends who live in tampa right now who go to usf so I can visit them aswell

hit me back!

16.04 w/18's and full trunk (spare, box 2 12's, amp cap, and some airforce shit), i/h/e/test pipe (now removed cause it robbed me of all my bottom end) w/these 15's (if i hook up) i could prolly be around the 15 flat mark.
