Hi,
I have 2 things in mind and hope you guys can give me some hints,

1/ I just want to know when you guys said tranny problem or tranny slip, what exactly going on or happen to the tranny? My car is automatic and it has about 99k. The reason I want to know cause it almost 100k so I start to get worry and want to watch out for it. Usually how much is cost to fix or rebuild the trany?

2/ My friend has a '95 Mazda 626, auto, and has about 118k. About 1 month ago, when the car was on, he can't shift it out of Park, no matter how hard he step on the brake or try to move the shifter, but when the car was off, he can move the shifter easy with out pressing the brake. And he been driving it for awhile like a stick, shift to Neutral first, start the car then shift it to Drive. So, is there something wrong with the tranny or the brake? How much will it cost him to fix this problem?

1) 1800$ or so.to rebuild.

2) theres a soloniod switch on the brake pedal. make sure he has brake lights as the lights are often attatched to the solonoid. if he does thenits the other solonoid switch.
