Timeing gears and gas octane ???
Anyone know if you should change the octane of the gas you run according to your timeing gear settings?
And what do you that have them have them set at?
Mines at -2 and I run 87

Unless you have changed your compression (i.e. new pistons/headgasket) you will LOSE power with going to a higher octane.
Regardless of bolt ons 87 octane will get you the most power out of the CL engines (4 or 6 cyl).
-4 was the optimum setting for my setup. I always used 87 octane. When I switched to 93 with all of my bolt ons the power loss was so noticeable I couldnt wait to burn it up and get the 87 back in it.
