dude, all of those are good choices. I love the rotories....Just beware, there is a lot of maintneince issues involved with those cars...If you want something reliable get the rsx, but if you want something that is going tobe fast as hell, get the rx-7..plus its RWD

PLus you dont see many rx-7s....my parents had an 84 rx..that car was soooo fun. im actually looking to buy one just to play with. Take that thing around a corner and get the ass out, it was soooo smooth... But that was the car i learned stick on and i warped the mount for the water pump...then i blew the tire in it and bent up the quarter panels then put my fist through the window...(my young bad tempur days)

My boy actually has a 89 Gtu a 91 for the track and he just got an 94 R1 and that is quick as hell so I can just imagine how quick the R2 is..and the R2 is a rare RX-7 so it may never really lose its value too much if it stays well maintained.

If this is gonna be the daily, DO NOT GET AN RX7. You will pay out the ass for gas, insurance(at least compared to the CL) and maintnence. Go snoop around the RX7 forums. They are amazing machines no doubt, but not something I would purchase for a daily driver. They are also a bit tiny inside, so it depends how big of a guy you are.
And the R2 is nothing that special that it will hold its value that well compared to any other well maintained 7.
I would look at the 7 for a toy, not for a mode of transportation.

Yo Ray. If are willing to spend 20k on a car why not build your CL. You can have a brand new engine @ 0miles with that kinda money. IF you want more power keep the CL so you can kill some Tegs. If you want a diff car all together then do that with the headaches that come along with a used vehicle.

I say go w/ the RSX. those K20's have really strong internals, so you dont' have to worry too much about running boost.
However, post turbo'd cars are always a worry, as you can assume that they've been pushed around pretty hard.
RX-7's are hot as hell, but for practicality purposes, it'll just be one nightmare after another.
I say find a supercharged RSX. That would be just as fun.

Why not go down at talk to the guys at Car Nu and see what else they can get for you. I've been to their dealership a lot and they have always been willing to look around for things. One thing I noticed with them is they do have a lot of higher milage cares that are expensive.
Ask them the price on that 350Z, I am curious.

I'd get the silver RX-7 w/ 75k miles ( it seems in good condition and you cant go wrong with bone stock, the single turbo one isnt going to be in good condition ). Everyone knows that engine needs a rebuild around 75-80k miles so you are gonna come out of the pocket either way.
The Rx7 is an expensive car to maintain/upgrade but is one of my favorite cars ever since gran turismo 1 lol

19.8k? for a 75k miles FD RIP OFFFFFFFFF the singer turbo for that price is ok.. but u can find rx7's that milage for 12k . i had a 90 convertible rx7 loved it... lookin for another one.. wid a turbo2 motor swap.. rx7 = not reliable rx7 = serious fun ;] if u got 20k to spend on a car.. buy a stock rsx type s and build it ur self.
caution ... if u have no clue bout rx7s and the rotary motors.. dont mess with it.. lol its a money pit.

I'm a huge rx7 fan and i vote for that. R1 and R2 are just handling/appearance(the front lip and rear spoiler)/no shitty bose system in the trunk versions. the silver would be my choice, not feeling the rims on the green one(it looked green, could be blue though). but i dont know it the green and/or blue came in R1/R2 trim, you might want to look that up.
and i believe R1 was only in MY 93, R2 was 94-not that it makes a difference
and as maclaren said, they suck as daily drivers, but it can be done.
also at around those miles, they usually are in need or have just had engine replacements, you will definately want to get that info

that silver rx-7 tt is nice. get some background info on the cars..you dont want a car that someone drove hard regularly and they didnt tell you or you'll have unforseen problems in the long run. good luck with the purchase
