Thinking of colormatching Lips/skirts.
Thinking of colormatching Lips/skirts.
Well. I was gonna take it to a shop, because i was scared that cuz of all the texturing in the lips/skirts, that it would come out shitty if i did it. But i'm thinking with a bunch of sanding, it might not come out too bad. check this out.

i say you get it done, our lips paint needs a flex agent added, because its plastic or whatever, in the heat the plastic expands a little, and so the paint needs to expand.. that is why some shops charge a little more $ to do this, the prep is a bitch because they are so smooth
the guy in that h-t thread i posted said go to a local auto finish store, they should have your color code in a can. think they'll have primrose? i dont think honda used it on any other car, so it might be harder to find...

my experience is that the color will be off no matter what. unless the person uses a machine to color match ur current color on the body then the color will no match correctly.
still, i say that u go for it anyways. it wont look bad cuz they are the skirts and they are at the bottom.

i just painted my side skirts, and ww lip at school for FREE...
i have primrose too...i used the PPG paint system, and it looks close enough...
but you do need a flex agent in the paint or else it will start to peel off...
prime your side skirts, then sand it with p400 grit sand paper, clean, paint, then clear it

really? I thought black is the hardest bc of Ive looked at different kinds of blk paint on cars and some of them have blue, green, red etc little glitter in them...I guess you cant tell from far away, but when you inspect it closely...you tell the difference..just my opinoin....I noticed when I looked at my ex's 2004 blk civic...
