I'm looking at buying a '97 or '98 CL, can you guy's advise on any problems to look for (if any) with the CL please.

Also aside from power is the 2.2 a good choice versus the 3.0 and is the 2.3 much different than the 2.2?

Is the '98 better than the '97?

I LOVE my 97 3.0 . I bought mine at an auction for $12,500 a year ago. I told myself i wanted a black 2 dr with black leather and bose stereo and a moon roof and poof, there was my CL sitting there like an angel. (smile) I love mine. So far i havnt had a bad expericene with it. Theres a few recalls ive had to deal with but everythings free!! I'd go for it if i were you. My only concern for you is to be careful, it FUN to drive, especially after you modify it some, ive put soo many miles on mine :-( Becareful, i love mine soo much i wont go anywhere without it. I always drive at night and that = more miles. :-(

Thanks!....I've sold a TT, so unreliable, silly stuff, looking for something more reliable, but good to drive and good looking.

Almost no differnce between the 2.2 and 2.3 except for five hp and some little cosmetic touches. Id get the 2.3 the 3.0 is ballsy but you just dont have the power control of a manual

1998 has better interior, brakes and 5 more hp. Get the 98 5 speed, less power than 3.0, but stick is fun. No problems except for window regulator breaking.
