Thieves just LOVE my rear-view mirror

Went to work Sunday morning around 8:10 at Sunvalley Mall. I was basically the first car there so I parked right up front in the first spot. It's quittin time at 3:45 and I walk out the mall and my car's gone. Mall security is useless and I found out that the cameras there don't even watch the parking lot. Filed a police report and went home.

3AM this morning I get a call from Concord PD and a cop found my car in a nearby parking lot just outside the mall. Drove out there and find that there's no damage to her save for some bird shit (it was parked under a tree), but my iPod, garage remote, all <$1.00 worth of loose change, my backpack (emptied it out at least), and my wide rear-view mirror attachment gone. Checked the mileage and the thief only drove it to that next lot. Cop said he dusted the car for prints and that he thinks they might have used some kind of master key or something because there was no damage to the door or the ignition.

This is the second time someone has got into my car, first time it's been started up and driven away, but both of those times, they took the damn rear-view mirror! WTF

Thank God I got her back safe and sound though. Fuckin thieves

damn dude that sucks, sorry to hear it but at least you got the car back. Looks like i'm never taking my car to sunvalley, shiet.

Isn't sunvalley in concord and you live in vallejo? I didnt realize concord was so shady, That's quite a commute for a mall job dude. Esp one that puts your car in danger.

So I'm thinking that the previous owner or a valet might be fucking with ya man...

Might want to look into new lock cylinders possibly.. I have the ones from the car that I parted and those are the only keys to the car. I have the ignition and the door locks with 2 keys of you want them...

Its at least what I would do...

Just would have to reprogram the keys.

Change the locks and def be careful if they got your garage door opener, you can change your garage door motors signals in 5 mins or less, I would do so and reprogram anymore garage door openers.

man the last time i was at sunvalley some fucker put XIV on my hood with a shoe polish marker filled with brakefluid and ink (for you non grafitti people, brakefluid mixed with ink is IMPOSSIBLE to take off even on concrete. you cant even paint over it).

but yeah bro thats sucks. atleast he didnt get anything REAL expensive..mustve been some kid or someone that really knew what he was doing around the ignition. you dont have an alarm?
