Test/Straight pipe question

Whats up everyone, its been a long time since my last post on here. Guess since the CL has been put away for the winter, it slips my mind. Anyway, I was looking on ebay today at CL shit and damn there are TONS of part on there now! I saw a straight pipe cat replacement on there, with an o2 sensor plug. Anyone know if they add any hp, and how it changes the exhaust note? I figured SOMEONE must have this done.
Thanks guys

If you are talking about the one that is sold by maxracingpipe, please dont buy it. I ordered one, they sent it promptly, I waited about a month to attempt installation, and it didnt fit, not even close (wrong flange on both ends, too short). They said oh you can send it back and we'll send you one that fits. Got UPS delivery confirmation so they def. go it, but I never heard from them again. At that point it was too late to do anything through either paypal or e bay about it. They said they would fix it as soon as they got it, at which point they had received it three weeks prior by the time they responded. I have a 2.3, so it might fit the 3.0, but they are not an honest seller.

`ANY muffler shop can make you a straight pipe...that's the beauty....it's......straight....

O2 sensors are easily adapted by muffler shops.

My buddy had one made by midas for his GSR for 140 installed. Made his 4 cyl sound like it was possessed by demons.

go ahead and do it man, the nice thing about straight pipes, is that they're easy to swap back out if you dont like it, or if you have state inspection like I do in NC...........

but make sure you got the full exhaust before you do it. headers and full catback.....

not every shop will do it. concidering its illegal to remove a working cat (even off one in the junk yard). and they will get a huge fine. there is some that will do it, but u gotta know who to take it to.
